June has plenty inn store
With the summer just around the corner, the Hohokus Inn and Tavern is holding a number of events throughout the month. The Inn is likely to be turning to a variety of printing services to distribute its calendar of events to those in the community and the surrounding areas.
Tomorrow, the Inn will be holding its fifth annual ‘Meals that Matter’, during which a portion of the receipts of the day will be donated to Community Meals, Inc., a non-profit organization that delivers meals to Hohokus and other towns in the area.
On Wednesday, June 18, the Cellar Club will be presenting a taste of Sicily with wine and hors d’oeuvres. Attendees will sample wines from the region and will be able to have dinner after the tasting.
The week from June 21 through 28 is Edible Jersey ‘Eat Drink Local’ Week. The Inn will be serving a menu with prefix prices for dinner and lunch and will be offering chef-prepared items that highlight the local farmers and regional partners from the entire food chain. The goal of the event is to raise awareness of the numerous products that are grown regionally and in the state.
Finally, on Wednesday, June 25, the Inn will be holding its Kick-Off to Summer Bourbon BBQ Tasting that will pair small batch bourbons with four barbeque dishes for tasting.
