Art lovers in the Hohokus area are getting excited for the library's latest artist exhibition. Artist Reception: Michelle Guo offers an intimate look at the artist's work as well as a chance to meet her in person.
Michelle Guo is a Hohokus native who recently graduated from Harvard University. Guo has been a student of the fine arts since she was five years old and her artwork has been displayed at the United States Capitol building. Guo has won several awards for her work including the National Congressional Art Competition as well as the New Jersey Conservation Poster Contest, a competition to create environmentally-friendly artwork for the state's poster printing campaign.
The exhibition will include 20 unique works of art from Guo sampled from different periods of her life including middle and high school through her college years. The reception will include an introduction of Guo and her style as well as a short talk about her work and influences. Afterwards guests will have a chance to peruse the work and speak with the artist directly. Light refreshments will be served at the reception.
Artist Reception: Michelle Guo will take place on July 6 starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Worth-Pinkham Memorial Library, located at 91 Warren Ave. Admission to the event is free to the public. Anyone looking for more information should contact the library directly or visit the website.
