Hohokus fundraiser to feature fruit of the vine

While a wine and cheese evening is usually enjoyed in person, one planned for Hohokus foodies will follow a virtual format.

A fundraiser planned in support of Children’s Aid and Family Services will take place online, and everyone who is interested in meeting other local foodies over a glass of vino is welcome. Wine expert Kevin Zraly will guide the group through a discussion of wine pairings and other ways to make the most from the fruit of the vine.

Along with the wine tasting, the registrants will be invited to bid on items in the silent auction, and an interactive session will allow them to ask the expert any questions they might have. On the day of the fundraiser, boxes of four bottles of wine paired with cheeses and a charcuterie selection will be delivered so that everyone who Signs up will be able to sample the recommended selections.

Converting an in-person fundraiser to an online format is one way a not-for-profit can adjust to changing times and environments. A company that prepares Letterheads and other Stationery will be able to supply printed tip sheets that can be tucked into the items sent out to those who register for this sort of occasion.

This virtual wine and food tasting has been scheduled for October 24. It will begin at 6:00 pm.
