What's Happening in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ…

Hohokus asked to support local diaper drive

Food banks and pantries aid those in need throughout the year, and one that serves the Hohokus area has put out a call to the community seeking support.

The Junior League of Bergen County has teamed up with the Center for Food Action to hold a diaper drive, and organizers have set up a system that will make it easy to contribute. It was noted that one out of every three local families finds it hard to afford these essential baby care items, so this campaign aims to make sure they have what they need.

Anyone who would like to lend a hand to this project can participate in one of the two methods that have been set up. They can purchase diapers to drop off, and these will be collected and distributed, or if they prefer an easier option, they can choose to purchase them online and these then be delivered to the Center for Food Action.

An initiative like this gives the community a way to support its members who are facing tough times. Flyers, posters, brochures, and other materials can help promote the activity, and these can be obtained from area print shops.

The Diaper Drive will be running until February 21. Anyone who has questions or would like to purchase diapers online can do so by visiting its Patch listing.
