Hohokus area set to welcome holiday season
Colorful light displays have come to be a holiday tradition in many communities, and the Hohokus area will be joining others all across the country in hosting a tree lighting ceremony to get the season off to a festive start.
People from the local area are invited to head to the Wyckoff Family YMCA for its annual tree lighting ceremony and the celebration that will follow. Guests are asked to assemble at the Lower Level Daycare Entrance for the event, and the switch for the display will be thrown at 5:30 pm sharp.
Once the lights are lit, the fun will keep on going with a live performance that will feature both holiday-themed music and dance. All ages can enjoy the treats and a visit with Santa, and crafting stations will be set up where the younger guests can make an item to take home with them.
This community celebration is being offered at no cost, and everyone is welcome to show up without registering first. The planners of this sort of occasion can count on a local banner printing company to supply banners and other decorations that can be displayed during the festivities.
The date for this year’s holiday tree lighting at the Wyckoff Family YMCA will be December 3. It is open to both members and nonmembers alike.
