Ridgewood is ready to kick off the Christmas season with a celebration downtown.
For the 31st year in a row, Bergen county residents and residents of close lying communities will be able to witness and take part in the annual Ridgewood, New Jersey Downtown for the Holidays Tree Lighting Celebration. There will be several attractions at the event to enhance the merriment and ring in Christmas cheer. Some of the entertainment is designed specifically for the kids so that family members of all ages will be able to enjoy the holiday experience.
The event will take place tomorrow, December 2. The streets will shut down to traffic and the fun will commence at 5:30 pm. First, there will be appropriate music to be rendered by the Village Clock. There will also be discounted shopping for those in attendance, along with a display of cars. With all of the activities linked to the celebration, event organizers might benefit from Banners that could aid in showcasing and serve as Christmas décor.
The excitement continues at 7:00 pm with on-stage performances by groups like, Ridgewood High School Concert Band, Art of Motion, Taekwondo ALLIn, and Porch Light Production. The tree lighting will be at 7:30 pm, and Santa will be in the Park from 8:00-9:00 pm. It all takes place in Ridgewood, just two miles south of Hohokus.
