Hackensack library to explore origin of tea
Tea, which is made using leaves from a plant in the Theaceae family, is a beverage that has been enjoyed for thousands of years. A Hackensack venue has organized a session into its history and current use.
Hackensack's Johnson Free Public Library will be offering an opportunity for local tea lovers to learn more about their favorite drink, and the session will run for one hour. Everyone who takes part will have their name entered in a raffle draw.
The workshop will cover how tea makes it from plantation to teacup, and everyone will learn about the traditional afternoon tea. The five main categories of tea will be discussed, and herbal teas and tisanes made from other plants will also be on the agenda. Tips for brewing a tasty cup will be shared, and attendees can ask any questions they have.
May people enjoy learning and picking up new tips, and a workshop offers the opportunity to do so. Organizers can order copies of handouts and other materials to distribute from stationery printers, which can also provide promotional products for an activity like this.
The World of Tea workshop is set for November 13, and it will run from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. It will be facilitated by subject matter expert Nina Androski, and the library is located at 274 Main Street.
