Caldwell university to offer ASIST course

Just as with the physical body, the mind can sometimes need emergency care, and a Caldwell workshop will give professionals and the general public some skills they can use to provide support.

The two-day Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) program, which is evidenced based, has been designed to give people tools they can use to aid someone who is in mental health distress. Those who complete the training will receive their ASIST certification, which will remain valid throughout their life.

Both days of the course will begin in the morning and run until the early evening. They will be held at the Caldwell University Campus, and tickets start at $350. Masks are required for this in-person activity, and the class fee includes lunch, snacks, and Copies of the learning materials used. It was noted that seats will be filled on a first come, first served basis, and Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credits may be available.

Sourcing learning materials for an organized activity can be made a lot easier with assistance from a printing services company. Its graphic design team will also be able to offer customized certificates to present to the attendees at the end of the event.

The Caldwell University School of Psychology and Counseling will be running this ASIST training program on January 21 and 22. It will run from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm on both days.
