Essex County Executive, Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr., and the Board of Chosen Freeholders invite county residents to their Fall Family Festival. The five-hour event will be free and open to the public.
The focus will be on autumn outdoor activities such as bird watching, hiking, and leisurely canoeing down the Passaic River. Nature photography will be on display.
Youngsters can join in games and take part in making 4-H crafts as well as participate in nature arts and crafts. They can get their faces painted, visit the petting zoo, and see the Turtle Back Zoo Live Animal display.
Caldwell families can meander through the venue and view demonstrations and displays of Native American life, a live beehive exhibit, and a woodturning demonstration. They can also get some star-dome gazing done, too. Families, especially those with little ones, will be taking the walk to the pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins for Halloween. Before they leave the festival, many will stop by the Autumn Photo Opportunity area to get some good pictures to take to local Print shops later for Copies, or for possible poster printing.
Eco-friendly vendors will be on hand to sell products and services that are geared to keeping our area green. Live music will add to the festivities.
The Fall Family Festival will be at the Essex County Environmental Center, 621B Eagle Rock, Roseland Saturday, September 29 from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm.Get a Free Quote for Copies Get a Free Quote for Print
