Pineville kids who enjoy exploring nature will be taking to the grounds around the SEED Wildlife Garden for an Easter egg hunt with a twist.
An activity for kids who are age 10 and under who would like to learn more about birds and how they raise their families has been planned by Seed Wildlife and Children’s Gardens, and the whole family can enjoy the fun. Light refreshments will be served, and both members and non-members can take part.
The youngsters will be crafting their own set of binoculars, which they can then use to spot for replica bird’s eggs the organizers will place in nests hidden throughout the site. While they do, they will be learning about the various species of songbird that call the area home. There will be other nest- and egg-themed activities as well, and advanced registration is required.
This sort of event often sparks an interest in nature that can last throughout a person’s lifetime. Offering each family a basic field guide will help them to continue to learn even more about birds and other animals, and Print shops will have a variety of options for this sort of publication.
Registration for Naturalist Egg Hunt is now available, and the event itself will take place on March 27. Tickets start at $15 each for members, while the general public will be asked to pay $20.
