Pineville to host party for pooches

Every dog will have its day during a Pineville celebration of the canine set.

Local dog lovers will be gathering in the community’s Pineville Lake Park, and the event will have a patriotic theme. While the function will be all about having a great time, it also has a higher purpose, raising funds for both Pineville Neighbor Place and Charlotte Black Dogs.

The plans for the afternoon include a pet parade, and those who enter their dog are encouraged to dress them up in a red, white and blue outfit. A dog costume contest is on the agenda, and microchip Checks and nail trims will also take place. Food trucks will be on site along with a marketplace of local vendors, and everyone is asked to bring along a donation of pet treats, and these will be passed along to Pineville Neighbor’s Place.

Those who attend the celebration will be able to snap some fun pictures at the photo booth, which will have a variety of backgrounds. A printing services company will be able to use wide format Print techniques to prepare this sort of item.

The 4th-of-July-themed dog parade will be celebrating the area's four legged set on June 26, and everyone is welcome. More details about the afternoon have been made available on the function’s Facebook listing.
