New tire and auto store to be wheeled out

Griffin Brothers Tires, Wheels & Auto Repair, with nine locations in North Carolina including one in Pineville, is planning to open a new store in Matthews in the middle of this month.

The store will have eight service bays and all other services that are typically provided by Griffin Brothers. These will include individual kiosks at which service advisers can assist customers, Internet workstations for customers to use their laptops in the waiting room, a ‘kids’ corner’ play area and complimentary customer shuttle and refreshments.

The new location will be managed by Chris Wright, manager of the Griffin Brothers’ Pineville location, and will also have six service advisors and technicians. Business card printing will most likely be needed for the employees of the new location.

According to the vice president of the store in Cornelius, Larry Griffin Jr., the nine locations in the greater Charlotte area still lacked a presence on the east side of the area. Now, the company will be able to service Mint Hill, Matthews, and the surrounding communities.

Griffin Brothers was founded in 1961 and is a family-owned business in the greater Charlotte metropolitan area offering full-service tire and automotive repairs. The company also sells B.F. Goodrich, Michelin, and Uniroyal tires.
