Speedway in Concord to host special race series

The Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord will be holding its Bank of America ROVAL 400 weekend this month, with a limited capacity crowd.

Greg Walter, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Speedway, said that this is one of the most anticipated events of the season. Such events are often promoted throughout a community with poster printing services.

BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina will be hosting the NASCAR Xfinity Series Drive for the Cure 250. In this race, championship contenders for the NASCAR Xfinity Series will oppose each other in a free-for-all on the newest track for the ROYAL at the Speedway.

There will also be the inaugural IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GT Series. During the afternoon, there will be qualifying sessions followed in the evening by a race that will last 100 minutes. There will be 17 turns on the technical 2.28-mile course that will combine the high-speed finesse of oval track racing with the tight corners of a world-class road course.

Both events will be held this Saturday, October 10, with the NASCAR Xfinity Series beginning at 3:30 pm. The third running of the Bank of America ROVAL 400 will be held on Sunday, beginning at 2:30 pm. Walter has said that there will be souvenirs and concessions available for purchase by credit card.
