The Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord is currently hosting its Speedway Christmas with a dazzling display of lights. The event is being hosted by COOK OUT.
This display is in its tenth year and include four million LED lights along the driving course, which is close to four miles long and includes most of the oval as well as the infield and the ROVAL. Those who visit the Speedway will have the chance to drive on parts of the course during their visit while accompanied by holiday music, simply by tuning into their car radios.
Poster printing is often used throughout town to make the community aware of such special events.
Also open for the month of December is the family-friendly Christmas Village. Located on the infield, this features a carousel, a Ferris wheel that 50 feet high, photographs with Santa Claus, and a new 100-foot slide. There is also food, fires for roasting s’mores, and the Bethlehem Village.
The lights are on display now until Sunday, January 5 from 6:00 to 10:00 pm. The price for tickets is $25 per car from Thursday and Sunday, $30 per car on Friday and Saturday, and $20 per car the other days of the week. Those who bring in products from Coca-Cola to support Toys for Tots will be entitled to special discounts on certain days.
