New store coming to Concord

A well known clothing retailer will soon be opening the doors of its new location in Concord.

H & M announced that it has plans to set up shop in the city. The store will have a floor space of 23,000 square feet and be located in Concord Mills in a portion of the site that was formerly occupied by Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th. It will be one of ten such stores that can be found throughout the state.

The retail chain, which originated in Sweden, offers clothing that is moderately priced in a range of styles for both women and men and also children. It also offers athletic wear as well as a line of accessories. It will join the list of shops that can be found in Concord Mills, which is a large mall owned by Simon Property Group.

While the plan is for the store to open sometime in the spring of 2017, and exact date has not yet been set. It is expected that it will provide employment for people from throughout the area.
