New hospital to be built in Concord
Novant Health has announced that a new hospital will be built in Concord within the next few years.
It will be along Trinity Road and will have 50 beds. It will also be a state-of-the-art hospital, be energy efficient, and will provide expanded access to care for people across the region, which is growing. particularly in Cabarrus, Stanly, and Rowan counties. Officials from Novant added that the new hospital will fill a gap of more than 40 miles between its hospitals in Mecklenburg and Rowan counties.
Among its services will be procedure rooms, an emergency room, laboratory services, diagnostic imaging, delivery and labor services, surgical care, and general medicine. The facility will also be sufficiently flexible to be able to expand to meet needs in the future.
