High-bandwidth, high-speed internet service will be coming to small businesses and residents of Concord with the introduction of Google Fiber.
Concord is one of the 10 cities in the state with the greatest population, and has grown 33% over the last decade. City Council members and other city leaders are committed to creating a quality of life that provides high-performance living. To achieve this vision, access to high-speed broadband internet is important in creating a thriving community and attracting people to the jobs being offered in the city.
Google Fiber will be offering service options of one gigabit upload and download, and two gigabit upload, and one gigabit download to residents. Offerings for small business will be either up to one gigabit or 250 megabits. Such companies often turn to brochure printing to provide more details about services and their pricing options.
Lloyd Paine, city manager, expressed his excitement about having Google Fiber in the city, noting there will be many new opportunities for businesses and families, and it will have a positive effect on the economic growth and development of the city. Government and Community Affairs Manager for Google Fiber NC, Jess George, added that the company is looking forward to serving the people of Concord.
Construction of Google Fiber has already begun in Concord, with the completion of the initial phase expected by the end of next year.
