A celebration and recruitment extravaganza is to take place at Concord Mills Mall, hosted by the local Girl Scout organization and the mall.
The Hornets’ Nest Council will be providing information on modern scouting for girls and the one-of-a-kind leadership opportunity it provides. In addition to the many promotional materials provided with the assistance of brochure printing services, special gifts, prizes, and coupons will be made available to those who stop by.
In addition, a signature green tote will be given away by the Girls Scouts; the tote will contain a variety of coupons and special offers from Concord Mills. As an added incentive to paying only $15 and registering to become a scout, girls will receive their first Girl Scout patch.
The GS Hornet’s Nest Council provides the scouting experience to over 22,000 girls and covers eight North Carolina counties and one county in South Carolina. The three-day event is expected to attract in excess of 2,000 Girl Scouts from the surrounding counties of Cabarrus, Stanly, Montgomery, Anson, Union, Mecklenburg, Rowan, and York.
The Girl Scouts will be at Concord Mills August 14-16, from 10:00 am to7:00 pm on Friday and Saturday and noon to 7:00 pm on Sunday.
The U.S. Girl Scout organization was formed in 1912 and is open to girls from kindergarten through high school seniors. Worldwide participation in Girl Scouting is 2.8 million.
