Concord herpetologists and those who just want to learn more about exotic and unusual pets are invited to come out to Concord’s Cabarrus Arena for Repticon Charlotte.
A wide variety of reptiles and other creatures will be on display, and many vendors will have booths set up where the crowd can browse through the items they have to offer. Along with this, there will be presentations throughout the event that give people more information about caring for these pets, and also reptiles, amphibians, and arachnids in general. Bearded dragons, leopard geckos, tegu lizards, Caledonian geckos, caimans, and different species of frogs, toads, and salamanders are just some of the creatures that will be featured. During some of the presentations, the audience will even have a chance to interact with the animals up close and personal.
The event is intended to be family friendly, and there will be draws for prizes throughout the two days of the expo.
The event is scheduled for the weekend of March 5 and 6, with the doors opening at 10:00 am both days. Tickets at the door cost $10 for adults and $5 for children, with special VIP and advance passes available online on the Repticon website.
