The Cabarrus Art Guild will be collaborating with the ClearWater Arts Center and Studios in Concord to host the Annual Spring Judged Show of the Guild for 2020. It will be in conjunction with the facility of the city celebrating 100 years of existence and 10 years since its renovation as a space for art.
Those artists living in Cabarrus and surrounding counties are eligible to submit their work. Poster printing can be used throughout such counties to promote shows and encourage submissions.
Both organizations are celebrating milestones this year. The Guild has been one of the longest-standing art organizations in Concord and Cabarrus County, operating as a nonprofit organization for the past 50 years. In addition, the ClearWater building has been in existence for 100 years. In 1920, it was the Water Works facility for the city. Ten years ago, it was renovated into a public gallery, art studio, and event space. Plans are underway for many new opportunities for artists, visitors, and community members in the upcoming year.
The show will be held in the Main Gallery of the Arts Center from this Sunday, February 9 to Thursday, March 26. Also on display until the end of March are works by members of the Guild in the lower-level Greenway Gallery. An opening reception and awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, February 9 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
