Amazon will be opening a new delivery station in Concord that will serve the Charlotte area.
Amazon Logistics will be leasing a space that will enable it to increase the speed of deliveries in the metropolitan area of Charlotte. Amazon Logistics has over 150 such locations across the country and enables flexibility and capacity to be added to its delivery services.
Jobs will be created for hundreds of people in the area. The minimum pay will be $15 per hour and several types of benefits packages will be offered. Some of these jobs may require business card printing services.
Ashley Lansdale, a spokesperson for Amazon, expressed the online retail giant’s excitement about investing in the state of North Carolina and providing this station for delivery services. He added that it will not only provide hundreds of jobs for those in the area, but also more efficient delivery of packages for customers.
This new delivery station in Concord is in addition to four more such stations that are expected to open this year throughout the state. These delivery stations are planned for Mills River, Kernersville, Durham, and Cary.
Amazon Logistics enables people to start their own package delivery business who are comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Owners of these business are responsible for hiring, training, developing, and retaining a team of 100 people and working with between 10 and 40 vans.
