Concord builds new fire station at airport

Construction is underway for the new Fire Station 6 at Concord-Padgett Regional Airport.

This will be the home for Blaze 1 and Blaze 2, the fire apparatus of the airport, and will also be the new home of Engine Co. 6. This new fire station is in a strategic position so that it can respond to the needs of the airport, as well as surrounding areas like Concord Mills Boulevard and Derita Road. It will also be able to increase safety for both the residents of Concord and its visitors.

This new fire station is part of a wider initiative to upgrade Concord’s emergency response infrastructure, ensuring more effective and faster service when it is needed. Modeen facilities like these represent the investment of the community in public safety and its ability to handle any type of emergency, ranging from incidents at the airport to commercial and residential fires in the area.

Cities such as Concord can rely on flyer printing to provide more details about such new facilities and how they benefit those in the community.

The fire department said that the emphasis of the station will be to balance serving the needs of the airport, neighborhoods, and communities in the area. Some details of the station – such as operational protocols, staffing, and even when the station will open – have not yet been determined.
