St. Louis to host comedy festival
Several comedy venues throughout St. Louis will participate in the Flyover Comedy Festival in November.
The Flyover Comedy Festival is an event where people can watch performances from over 100 comedians across three days. The fest will also feature improv workshops and storytelling shows. This year, the participating venues for the festival include The Sheldon, The Improv Shop, Dogwood in the Grove, and the Hot Java Bar. Most of the shows held during the event will be for audiences aged 18 and over.
The headliner acts for this year’s Flyover Comedy Festival will include Jeff Ross, Shena Wang and Janelle James. Ross is typically known as an ‘insult comic’ who has been featured on the Comedy Central Roast series, while James is an actress who stars in the series Abbot Elementary. Wang is a comedian and actor who produced a Netflix special titled Sweet & Juicy. Wang will perform at the Hot Java Bar on Thursday, November 9. Attendees can see James and Ross work their magic at The Sheldon on Saturday, November 11.
The comedy fest will be held over the days from November 9th to November 11th. Those interested in getting a wristband for the event can pay $55. The cost will include access to all events outside the three headliner performances. People who want access to the headliner acts can purchase a silver wristband for $85. Organizations in charge of comedy fests like this may use flyer printing to share the events with others.
