St. Louis to hold conference for male nurses

The American Association for Male Nurses (AAMN) will organize a conference in St. Louis at the Royal Sonesta Chase Park Plaza Hotel.

The 49th Annual AAMN Conference is an event where male nurses can engage with fellow medical professionals and learn from informative presentations. The theme for the convention is Innovations in Nursing Practice: The Gateway for Nursing’s Future. The presentations at the conference will discuss topics in technology, education, research, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. There will be multiple poster presentations with peer-reviewed abstracts that attendees can see during the event.

The AAMN was formed in 1974 and was initially known as the Men in Nursing in Michigan group. The goals of the organization include promoting nursing careers to men and encouraging current male nurses to continue growing professionally. There are membership types for registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, medical students, and high schoolers. Women are also allowed to become members of the AAMN.

The annual AAMN convention will be held from Thursday, October 17th to Saturday, October 19th. AAMN members who want full access to the conference can pay $499. Student members and event speakers will receive discounted admission. Those who aren’t members of the association may also attend the convention. Groups that hold similar conferences to this can use banner printing to advertise their events and sponsors to more people.
