St. Louis popular food and wine festival to return

Union Station in Downtown St. Louis will host an event in February where people can try out a selection of wine, beer, and food samples.

St. Louis Food and Wine is a festival that features hundreds of wines and several craft beers. The fest is presented by Schnucks Markets, and will be split into two days.

The first day of the festival is the Grand Tasting Event, which includes samples of drinks from prominent domestic and international vintners. The second festival date is The Main Tasting Event. Both experiences include a commemorative wine glass.

A portion of the funds from the food and wine fest will benefit local nonprofits like Operation Food Search and The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis. Operation Food Search is a hunger relief group that was founded in 1981.

The organization serves more than 40 counties across Illinois and Missouri. The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis is part of the League of Resident Theatres, and holds performances of shows like Moby Dick.

The festival will take place on Friday, February 2 from 7:00pm to 10:00pm, and Saturday, February 3 from noon to 5:00pm. Tickets to The Grand Tasting Event will cost $250 per person, and admission to The Main Tasting Event is $75.

Organizations in charge of similar food and wine events may use banner printing to share information about the events with their communities.
