St. Louis offers fun at the zoo
A special adults-only event is on the way to the zoo to add to the summer enjoyment.
Macy's is presenting Jammin' at the Zoo, an event designed for attendees 21 years of age and older. There are two Jammin' evenings planned, with live music and samplings of beer and wine as part of the fun. Food trucks will also be on hand with goodies.
The two events benefit the St. Louis Zoo itself, and its conservation efforts, as well as efforts at other institutions throughout the world.
On the first evening, Musicology and Dirty Muggs will play, and DJ Micro will spin the discs. On the second evening, DJ Micro will play again, along with Johnny Henry and Fat Rocket. Banner printing may be used to create decorations for special occasions like this.
Zoo members will be able to enjoy the evening for $12.95, while nonmembers pay $22.95, and the ticket price covers the tastings. Parking is available for free in both zoo lots, and tickets can be purchased from the zoo online, or at the door.
The first Jammin' at the Zoo is set for July 24, from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm, with the “Zoo Uncorked” segment of the evening—the tastings of more than 75 wine and beer samples—from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, or until all the samples are gone. The second evening is August 28, with the same hours. Both evenings will go on rain or shine.
