St. Louis neighborhoods to host St. Patricks celebration

Dogtown United will organize a festival in March where people can celebrate the local history of Dogtown in St. Louis.

St. Patrick’s Day in Dogtown is an experience where families can enjoy activities while honoring the unique history of the Dogtown community. The event is held alongside the Ancient Order of Hibernians Parade. Attendees can explore multiple zones at the festival, including the Bud Light NEXT Party Zone, Dogtown Pizza Family Zone, and the Irish Culture Zone. There will be many live shows throughout the event from performers like Rusty Nail.

Dogtown United is the organization responsible for planning the St. Patrick’s Day festival. The Dogtown community is comprised of multiple neighborhoods, such as Franz Park, Clayton-Tamm, and Cheltenham. Dogtown was a term used to describe the shelters of clay and coal miners in St. Louis during the mid-1800s. The nonprofit organization aims to create a vibrant, safe, and strong community through its event. The group’s current president is Nick Funke, the owner of the Stone Turtle Restaurant and Bar.

The St. Patrick’s Day celebration in Dogtown will take place on March 17th. The Irish Festival will begin at 9:00 am, the parade will start at 11:00 am. Guests may not bring outside coolers or alcohol to the event. People can become volunteers to help set up street signs and collect garbage. The information for festivals like this can be shared with more people by using flyer printing services.
