St. Louis foundation to throw music festival
A local non-profit in St. Louis will be organizing a live blues festival in August at the Gateway Arch.
The Blues at the Arch Festival is a multiday fest that pays tribute to the city’s blues history while showcasing talented performers. This year, the event will be returning to a live performance format after two years of virtual concerts. Several new additions are coming to the festival, including a poster contest, food trucks, and after-parties. The lineup will include performers like Jeremiah Johnson, the Keesha Pratt Band, and Circus Harmony.
The organizer for the event is the Gateway Arch Park Foundation, which is a non-profit formed in 2009 to maintain and promote the landmark and its surrounding attractions. People who become members of the organization will receive tram passes, complimentary parking, and invitations to exclusive events. The foundation hosts many activities, including Sunrise Yoga and Picnic in Your Park. Non-profit groups such as this may advertise future gatherings by utilizing poster printing.
The annual blues fest will take place from Friday, August 12 to Sunday, August 14. Those who visit the festival do not need to pay to see the live performers or register in advance. Parking will be available at the Stadium East Garage for a fee. Membership fees to join the Arch’s foundation range from $50 to $500.
