What's Happening in Kirkwood, MO…

St. Louis date is one for your dairy

Things are about to get cheesy in St. Louis. For the fourth year, some of the best chefs in St. Louis will compete in the hugely popular Mac & Cheese Throwdown. The winner will be decided by popular vote.

The event is still going ahead at the time of writing, but there have been some changes in the contest. Restaurants will have additional bites available and there will be a mac dish that is vegetarian-friendly, plus a MAC vs. MAN challenge. In addition, children are welcome and those under five will be admitted free of charge. A special dessert bar and activity area for the youngsters will be available.

VIP tickets will also be available to those 21 and over, allowing them to enter the event 30 minutes early through a separate entrance, where they will find reserved seating and a hosted bar in a special area. VIPs will be able to enjoy samples from all the participating restaurants.

General admission tickets include an 11:30 am entry, 12 samples of Mac & Cheese, and four tickets for drinks. Children's tickets also allow an 11.30 am entry, seven samples of Mac & Cheese, plus a trip to the dessert table and unlimited sodas. Each attendee will receive a token to use to vote for their favorite.

The 4th Annual Mac & Cheese Throwdown STL is set for April 19, from 11:30 am until 3:00 pm at Union Station. Flyer printing can be used to create handouts for events like this one, which usually sells out.
