St. Louis 5K to raise funds for combat veterans
The nonprofit group Songs 4 Soldiers will be organizing a 5K race in St. Louis to help combat veterans throughout the country.
The 3rd Annual 5K 4 Soldiers is a fundraising program where people can support veterans and assist Songs 4 Soldiers with their mission. The race will be held at Jefferson Barracks County Park and will have on-site activities for families to enjoy. There is also a virtual race for those who feel more comfortable completing the 5K online. Any racers who raise $80 for the cause will receive a refund for their registration fee.
Songs 4 Soldiers is a group founded by Dustin Row, a veteran from Columbia, Illinois who served in the Iraq War. The organization wishes to enrich the lives of veterans while honoring their services through everyday assistance and has provided help to over 500 veterans. Each year, the group organizes several fundraising events, including a benefit concert and golf tournament. Nonprofit organizations similar to this may share future fundraisers with people with poster printing.
The race will take place on Saturday, November 6th from 8:00 am to noon. The price to register for the activity will be $40 per participant. Those interested in learning about Songs 4 Soldiers’ upcoming programs can find additional details on the group’s site. Veterans may also apply for assistance on the organization’s website.
