Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit are on the way, along with Strand of Oaks. Isbell began his career as a member of the Drive-By Truckers, a Southern rock band, but left in 2007. His solo debut album, “Sirens of the Ditch,” came out that summer. In 2009, he released “Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit,” naming his new backing band.
In 2016, his album “Something More Than Free,” won the Grammy for Best Americana Album. Isbell released a single entitled “Hope the High Road,” crediting “Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit.” Members of group have been backing Isbell for years, and say they appreciate his generosity.
One review mentions the band specifically:
“So happy to see JI and the 400 Unit . . . Tight band, awesome musicians.”
Timothy Showalter is a producer and songwriter behind Strand of Oaks, a rock project. Although the effort is mainly Showalter's, the entire show won high marks:
“Strand of Oaks really put on quite a performance. . . . The . . . energy was palpable, and I'm glad I got a chance to see them . . .”
The bands will be at the Stifel Theatre on June 21, at 8.00 pm. Brochure printing can create programs for this kind of event.
