New restaurant proposed for St. Louis airport
A new restaurant could soon be added to the St. Louis airport, thanks to a recently-approved contract extension.
The St. Louis Airport Commission has given its initial approval to extend its contract with HMSHost, the airport's beverage and food concessionaire, for an additional three years. The extension calls for a new restaurant at the airport with the theme of the St. Louis Blues. The City of St. Louis still has to approve the extension.
Under the agreement, HMSHost is proposing the construction of the Blue Note Bar and Grill, replacing the current restaurant in Terminal 2. Speaking for HMSHost, Bryan Loden said the best way to celebrate the St. Louis Blues, who are the 2019 Stanley Cup winners, is by offering travelers an exciting experience, starting in the terminal with a fun atmosphere and typical game-day food. He added that the company is delighted to pair with the Blues to celebrate the first of many victories. Brochure printing can be used to describe the amenities and traditions of establishments like this.
Speaking for the team, the Blues' CEO and president, Chris Zimmerman, said they really like the concept of the Blue Note, and what the new restaurant will mean for travelers who are coming to the city that is now home to a championship hockey team. Zimmerman added that the airport, as well as HMSHost, understand the team brand, and are creating a concept that will attract visitors to Terminal 2.
