Continental Mapping opens larger office

Continental Mapping, a GEOINT company, is expanding at such a rate that it is moving to a larger office in St. Louis.

GEOINT stands for Geospatial Intelligence, and is also called Geointel or GSI. It refers to the way in which the analysis of geospatial information and imagery can yield data about human activity on earth.

Continental Mapping’s growth is largely due to the company’s work in intelligence and defense under its new director, Greg Johnson, a press release has said.

The St. Louis office increases Continental Mapping’s presence in the Midwest, where it already has facilities in Indianapolis and Kansas City; its headquarters are in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. The new office will open at 1310 Papin Street, only a few minutes from the Gateway Arch.

The release adds that it is not only Johnson’s leadership that has led to the company’s increasing success and need for more space, but that Continental Mapping has received an increasing amount of work from the government via the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The new office will need project managers and geospatial analysts in particular, and interested prospects are invited to check out the company’s website for job postings.

Since this is a new office, Continental Mapping should consider working with stationery printers to bring their letterhead up to date. They could also work with a business card printing company to ensure all employees have updated cards.
