Airport branches out with new routes

Lambert-St. Louis International Airport has recently added to its list of destinations.

The airport has now achieved the capacity to offer passengers travel to Portland, Oregon; Jackson, Tennessee; and Austin, Texas. The management may decide to contact brochure printers in St. Louis to ensure that people are aware of the new non-stop destinations. Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge, the director of the airport, has told the St. Louis Business Journal:

“It’s a great time to celebrate because it's rare that we can debut three new destinations all in the same week. Daily service to Austin and Portland has been a top priority for this region based on the companies who do regular business in both cities, as well as the strong leisure markets there.”

Southwest Airline has served Austin since July 28, while Air Choice One has flown to Jackson from the same date. Alaska Airline has begun to fly to Portland from St. Louis within days of the commencement of the other two services.

The airport has been performing well compared with a year ago. In the first five months of 2015, passenger traffic was almost 2.5% higher than it had been during 2014.

It has been announced that the current increase in destinations is unlikely to be the last. For example, it has been revealed that the end of the fall should see flights being made to a Californian airport named after John Wayne.
