Presstek DI courses fill quickly

Chesterfield-based Mark Andy Inc. disclosed on July 13 that its course is full.

Based not far from Maryland Heights, the printing machine company founded the University of Presstek DI in February and the first round of courses for certification for the digital machine have sold out. The hands-on course covers from beginner to advance usage of the offset press and is meant for users at entry level. It lasts for five days and intensively covers how to manage costs of production, improve quality, and complete projects faster and more efficiently. Training is this month in California and Georgia.

Since there is a great demand for the Presstek DI training certification, Mark Andy plans to offer more courses for both beginner and well-versed operators of the DI model. According to the sales director for the company's Print products, Ralph Jenkins, the company did not expect such a positive response to the classes. It only took two days for the first round of classes to fill up. The classes teach users how to make the most use out of the press with the best value on the market.

All owners of the DI can participate in the classes in part with the program My DI. They go through methods used in practice while learning how to care for the machine. This includes managing ink, the densitometer, the blanket or roller, and substrate.
