Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation will hold a trivia night in September at the Maryland Heights Community Center.
Childhood Cancer Trivia Night is a community program where guests can raise funds for fighting cancer while taking part in a fun and competitive event. Participants can expect questions on pop culture topics like iconic movie quotes and popular songs. People can also help raise more money for the cause by joining a bourbon raffle and 50/50 raffle. The venue will provide beer, wine, and soft drinks, though attendees are responsible for bringing their own snacks.
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation is an organization dedicated to funding childhood cancer research. The foundation started in 2000 and has helped fund over 1,500 research projects at institutions throughout the United States and Canada. Many events have been created by the organization, such as The Million Mile, The Lemon Ball, and the Halloween Lemon Run. The group also hosts events that run throughout the year, like Grand Stands.
The trivia night will be on Saturday, September 13 at 6:00 pm. Those interested in attending can pay $200 for a table for eight people. Companies can become sponsors of the event for $150, which will include online recognition and an introduction at the program. Foundations that hold similar fundraising activities may use brochure printing to make take-home materials that educate people about their causes.
