The Thornhill Branch Library in Maryland Heights will hold a program that will showcase Books made by Christian Robinson.
Black Illustrator Story Time: Christian Robinson is an event that highlights the works of Robinson by reading his Books aloud to a group of children. The program is offered as part of the library’s Black History Month celebration. Kids who attend the story session will get to hear a reading of Another and You Matter. The Books are about the importance of learning from different perspectives, and both stories have earned awards from the New York Times.
Christian Robinson is an illustrator, designer, and animator who lives in Oakland, California. He went to the California Institute of the Arts and has worked for several notable companies, including Pixar Animation Studios. Robinson has been involved with many Books, like Last Stop on Market Street, Nina: A Story of Nina Simone, and The Bench. His work was even used in the Red Cap Cards Collection, Cotton & Steel Collection, and Gallery Nucleus Collection.
