High School boosters hold cornhole tournament

Arnold's Jaguar Boosters will be holding their 4th annual Cornhole Tournament in mid-August.

The event will accommodate 64 teams in double elimination. Two brackets have been created to allow both seasoned and novice players.

Registration will be $50 per team. The event will also have a 50/50 raffle, a "Jaguar Swag Bag" raffle, and a Lotto Board. Swag bags at events such as this often come with the school's logo design imprinted on the merchandise.

The Jaguar Boosters will be grilling free hotdogs and hamburgers, but guests will need to bring their own drinks and cooler, and chairs should they need them. Early sign-ups are encouraged in order for organizers to make sure they can accommodate everyone.

Cornhole is a game played with eight 1lb resin-filled bags and two wooden boards. Points are calculated after each frame, and the objective of the game is to reach 21 points or more. Scoring is achieved by throwing the bag either on the board for one point or in the hole for three. Each player will stand in the pitcher's box located on either side of the boards and throw underhanded.

The Jaguar Boosters 4th Annual Cornhole Tournament has been scheduled for Saturday, August 17 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Ferd B Lang Park at 1830 Old Lemay Ferry Road.
