Arnold runs the Gobble Gobble 5k
Many Arnold runners are planning to run the 2024 Gobble Gobble 5k on Thanksgiving morning.
The speedy flat course will be taking runners and walkers along Meramec River where participants may enjoy lush woods and native wildlife.
Awards will go to the top three overall female and male finishers and medals will go to the top three finishers female and male finishers in 13 age groups.
Registration for the in person 5k and virtual runs will be $28 until September 30th, $31 from then until October 30th and $34 until November 25th. The 1/2-mile kids run will be free but registration will be required.
Swag will include orange long-sleeved shirts sporting the event's colorful Gobble Gobble Run graphic design and accompanying orange and brown striped beanies.
As part of the city's "Feed the Masses" campaign, race participants are asked to take canned food to the race to be donated to the Arnold Food Pantry.
Race packets will be available at the Arnold Recreation Center Tuesday, November 26th and 27th from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Packet pickup will begin at 7:00 am followed by the 5k line up at 8:00 am to 8:10. The Kids' Run will begin at 9:00 am.
