Arnold plays golf and races worms

Jefferson County Library Arnold Branch will be holding its annual worm races at the end of May, before the Arnold Chamber of Commerce hosts its 6th Annual Golf Tournament in mid-June.

All ages are invited to bring their speediest wrigglers the Worm Races at the Jefferson County Library Arnold Branch, 1701 Missouri State Road on Wednesday, May 28. The races will be held between 3:00 pm and 3:45 pm and admission will be free. Worms will be placed on an outer circle and the one that enters the inner circle first will win.

Soon after, registration for the Arnold Chamber of Commerce 6th Annual Golf Tournament is $600 per team and mulligans (free shots) and skins tickets will cost $20 each. Rescue kits will be $50. Local businesses may put promotional products such as promotional pens in the tournament swag bag for $50. Those wishing to purchase hole sponsorships may choose from one ($125), two ($250), or three holes ($375). Promo tables will be available for $125. Other available sponsorships include Ace ($1,000), Birdie ($700), Eagle, ($850), Breakfast ($500), Swag Bag ($250), and Koozie ($250).

The tournament will take place on Friday, June 13, from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm at Oak Valley Golf Course, 1230 Abby Lane, Pevely. Registration and breakfast will begin at 7:00 am, followed by the shotgun start at 8:00 am.
