Mound organization to host craft brew festival

The Rotary Club in Mound will organize a community beer festival at the Gale Woods Farms in November.

The Tonka Brew Fest is an event held by the Mound-Westonka Rotary where people can browse stalls from Minnesota craft breweries while supporting local causes. The festival began in 2013 and has raised more than $120,000. The money earned from the brew fest has helped many causes, like the International Water Project, the Westonka Food Shelf, and WeCAN. Other uses of the funds include high school student scholarships and supporting exchange students.

There are several ways for companies to sponsor the craft brew festival. Businesses can purchase packages like the Micro Brew Level Sponsor for $500 or the Brew Pub Level Sponsor for $2,500. Those who sponsor the event can get benefits such as having their names featured on social media advertisements, the event’s tasting sheet, and the festival’s official website. The higher sponsorships offer perks like logo representation on the venue’s bandstand and having a designated promotional area at the event.

The fest will be held on Saturday, November 2nd from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Business owners who want to sponsor the event must fill out online applications in advance that contain their full business name, email, and a high-resolution image of their logos. Community groups that host fests like this can offer corporate gifts to their sponsors as thanks for their support.
