Mound event to pop Corks for a Cause
For its third annual installment, the Corks for a Cause event will return to Mound, looking to benefit children in need with the help of local wineries.
The event will feature over a dozen participating Minnesota wineries, with visitors able to sample sips from each. Each participant will receive a commemorative wine glass four samples. Participating vendors include Schram Vineyards Winery & Brewery, Mousse Sparkling Wine Co and Rolling Forks Vineyards. There will also be gourmet wood-fired pizza, appetizers, and dessert stations for food accompaniment.
Funds raised through the evening will go towards the Crescent Cove nonprofit organization, which provides medical support and hospice care for children and young adult with shortened life expectancies. The organization is the only such service in Minnesota and one of just three in the nation. In addition to ticket revenue, money will be raised through live and silent auctions, with items donated from local sponsors and other supporters.
Attendees can win prizes through drawings every 30 minutes. Charity events like this often highlight local sponsors on banner printing and other signage to help encourage contributions. The event is hosted by the local Lions Club as well as Everly Farms, and aims to be the biggest fundraiser yet.
The 2025 Corks for a Cause event will take place on the evening of Saturday, August 16 at Everly Farms in Mound.
