Current and former Minnesota Vikings star players are expected to gather to support their coach in his fundraiser golf event, Mike Zimmer Golf Classic.
Eden Prairie residents who are avid football or golf fans can enjoy a relaxing day of golf at this event, which will involve local celebrities and Viking players, along with sponsors and partners, making up a total of 144 golfers. The competitions include longest drive, hole-in-one and closest to the pin. Before the sporting event begins, there will be a tour of the Vikings museum. The event will be held in the picturesque and challenging golf course at Bearpath Golf and Country Club.
The event will have food and live music by Chris Hawkey. At the event, Mike Zimmer’s foundation will present scholarship Checks for deserving college students. Participants can bid for autographed Vikings collectables in a silent auction.
The event was started in May 2019 to honor the memory of Vikki Zimmer. Over the years, its efforts have helped raise money for scholarships and education for the residents of Minnesota. To give back to the community, the Mike Zimmer Foundation organizes a free football camp for young players every year.
