This April, the Northern Woods Exhibition will be held in Eden Prairie to celebrate the woodworking abilities of woodworkers of all ages and levels across Minnesota.
The exhibition will be presented by the Minnesota Woodworkers Guild, which is a not-for-profit volunteer organization comprised of both professional and amateur woodworkers. The purpose of the group is to advocate for high standards in the woodworking field, meet like-minded peers, and educate the public on the nature of woodworking. The guild also organizes special events, such as the Northern Woods Exhibition, for woodworkers to gain exposure.
Encompassing four days, April’s showcase will feature some of the best and most unique works of wood made by a talented range of woodworkers, both professional and amateur. The pieces displayed will fall into the categories of both aesthetics and functional furniture.
At the Meet the Maker event on the Saturday, visitors will be able to discuss with the woodworkers about their works. There will be 14 different award categories and over $4,000 to be won in cash and prizes.
Artists participating in exhibitions like this may decide to bring along a supply of Business Cards to hand out at the event to interested guests.
