Eden Prairie youth will have the opportunity to learn the basics of rock ‘n roll at the School of Rock’s Rock 101 Band Camp this March.
The School of Rock is a music school for all ages and abilities with various locations across the globe, including one in Eden Prairie. Different from traditional music programs, the school teaches using its patented School of Rock Method, which combines one-one-one instruction with group learning and live performances.
March’s band camp will be a week-long workshop in which students will learn the fundamentals of rock ‘n roll. Students will be able to choose from drums, electric guitar, keyboard electric bass, or vocals. The workshop is designed for all levels, so participants do not need any previous experience on any of the instruments. Students will learn how to not only play an instrument but also how to play together in a band. At the end of camp, they will perform together for family and friends.

The Rock 101 Band Camp is scheduled for March 21 through March 25, from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm each day. The School of Rock is located at 6585 Edenvale Boulevard, Eden Prairie. Class registration is $329.
