Local art company to host pet-themed class

This October, Gray Duck Art will host the Paint Your Pet class, a how-to art class that will teach attendees how to successfully paint a portrait of their pet.

Gray Duck Art is a local art company in the Twin Cities that helps people explore their creativity by creating helpful painting outlines. These outlines usually come in the form of paint-by-numbers, enabling even novices achieve their creative goals.

October’s class will teach attendees to create a painting from a photograph of their pet. After purchasing a ticket, participants will email a picture of their pet to Gray Duck Art, using the instructions listed on the website. Organizers ask people to make sure their picture is a high-quality closeup of their pet, with the pet staring at the camera if possible. This way, the organizers can create a proper paint-by-number outline from which attendees will paint their portrait, following the instructions of the art teachers during the class.

The Paint Your Pet class is scheduled for October 13, from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. It will take place at Boom Island Brewing Company and Taproom in Minnetonka, just minutes from Eden Prairie. Tickets are $60 and include one free drink at the brewery.

Organizers of such classes often use flyer printing to advertise event specifics in an easy yet effective way.
