Grant winners to be selected at Prairie Brewfest

Four finalists have made it to the final round of selection for the Prairie Brewfest Choice Grants, run by the Eden Prairie Foundation.

The winners will be decided by a poll open to attendees at 2019’s Prairie Brewfest. The winners will receive $400, $600, $1,000 or $2,000 depending which finalists get the most popular vote. The finalists up for selection are:

- Rain Garden, a group set up to build a rainwater collection system at the newly renovated Eden Prairie Public Library. Such an installation will help to promote sustainability while teaching people about the changing water cycles.

- READY! for Kindergarten, a program which helps parents get their children ready to start school and ensure that kids are getting enrolled to start kindergarten.

- 2020 PeopleFest! Community Celebration of Culture, which will use the grant money to fund artistic endeavors and promote cultural performances at 2020’s edition of PeopleFest!

- Meals on Wheels’ meal delivery Bags.

The event will be held this Saturday, September 7. In total, 22 craft beer brewers along with two vintners are going to be there. Events like this allow the brewers to hand out Promotional Products and Business Cards.

Entertainment will be provided by the band Wondercue and food trucks will keep people’s bellies full. Tickets are only available to people aged 21 and over, and are $35 at the gate or $30 if bought in advance.
