Eden Prairie workshop to help compliance professionals
The Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) will host a virtual Healthcare Compliance Essentials Workshop for Eden Prairie compliance professionals in February.
The HCCA will host the four-day virtual conference for professionals that include compliance officers, internal auditors, data privacy professionals, compliance students, compliance analysts, and others. By attending the conference, participants will earn Compliance Certification Board (CCB) continuing education units (CEUs).
The workshop will be led by industry experts such as Doriann Cain, Sarah Couture, Steve Lokensgard, and Adam Turteltaub. Attendees will learn how to develop and improve their compliance management skills. There will first be an introduction to compliance and ethics program, followed by a discussion of the proper standards and procedures. Other learning objectives include government and oversight, risk assessment, communication and training, incentives and enforcement, program improvement, investigations, and response to wrongdoing. Topics like Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Stark Law, and the False Claims Act will also be discussed.
There will also be optional virtual coffee hour breaks throughout the four days where participants have the opportunity to network. Virtual networking events sometimes include the exchange of professional website links, so attendees may make sure their graphic design is up to par.
The Healthcare Compliance Essentials Workshop is scheduled for February 14 through February 17. Member registration is $895 and non-member registration is $1,195. Registration plus first-time membership offer is $1,115.
