Eden Prairie to host 5K event

Next month, the Brighter Days Annual 5K Run/Walk to Remember will take place in Eden Prairie to pay tribute to loved ones who have passed.

Healthcare company M Health Fairview is the presenting sponsor, and Brighter Days Family Grief Center is the organizer. The event will feature a youth fun run, 5K run, and scavenger hunt. Participants wishing to arrive before the walk/run begins will also be able to join in a gentle yoga session hosted by Bryan Piatt, owner of Refresh Network and former Kare 11 news anchor.

After the run/walk, participants will be greeted with refreshments of donuts, fruit, and coffee. There will also be fun games to play, and vendors such as Ziggy’s Art Bus, Glitter Ink Tattoos, and RedBird Gifts will be set up. A Resource Fair will also be held, featuring over 30 community nonprofits for families to receive valuable resources from. The event will end with a tribute ceremony, and organizers encourage attendees to bring pictures of loved ones to hang on the Remembrance Wall.

The tribute walk/run is scheduled for May 21, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The venue is Lambert Pavilion on 13001 Technology Drive, Eden Prairie. Adult registration is $35, and child registration is $15.
