Eden Prairie’s KidCreate will hold a special Parent’s Time Off Class next month for kids to make July 4th crafts while their parents have a night off.
KidCreate is a children’s art studio that provides a space for children to nourish their creativity and pursue learning through art. Lara Olson founded the studio after observing how little art exposure her children had at school and after not finding any after-school programs that fulfilled that need. The studio hosts a variety of classes, including the Parents’ Time Off class series, which allows parents to drop off their children at the studio for engaging art time, giving the parents a night to themselves.
The upcoming Parents’ Time Off class will offer 4th-of-July-themed crafts. Children will be able to make celebratory hats and star-spangled wavers that can be used at any 4th of July festival or celebration. The organizers have asked that parents prepare their children a nut-free snack and drink for snack time during the class. Craft workshops like this that include paper-related crafts may also require local printing services to create any pre-made templates instructors may use.
The class will take place on July 1 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. KidCreate Studio is located on 7918 Mitchell Road, Eden Prairie. Class registration is $44, with taxes waived.
